After creating our functional requirements, research was conducted to begin creating a design. The following were determined:

  1. Skylight Tube Size (dictated by the joists and rafters found in roofs)

  2. Surface Finish of Skylight Tube

  3. Interior Light Diffuser

  4. Medium for Diffuser (i.e. air or liquid)

  5. Electrical component requirements
  6. Mounting Design

AIR (Top) vs. WATER(Bottom)

Water has a comfortable diffusion compared to the concentrated difffusion of air.
